There's Enchantment every day!
A card I recently made for a co-worker's birthday. Recipe: Paper-Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Everyday Enchantment DSP; Ink-Baja Breeze; Stamps-Mixed Bunch,Teeny Tiny Wishes, Other-Everyday Enchantment ribbon & brad pack, Punches-Blossom Punch, Modern Label.
Even though the "blue" is Pool Party, I thought I could get away with using the Baja Breeze since that's what I had on hand. I really like how this card came out. Thanks to Nicole Birtrand for the inspiration and Kriss Huels at StampwithKriss.com for posting Nicole's card.
Painting my craft room over the long weekend. Actually my DD and her hubby are doing the work for me. I just have to provide supper for them. Win-win for everybody!

Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I thought I'd make a little something for co-workers and also some young cousins and my nephew and nieces. I got the idea from Angie Kennedy Juda at Chic 'n Scratch, http://www.mychicnscratch.com/2012/01/val.html, but I used an older stamp set, "Love You Much." They came out really cute and I can't wait to share them. I used Charms brand heart-shaped lollipops.

Happy New Year!
So much for wanting to post a couple more Christmas card ideas. Time just got away from me. Again.
I hope to post some new material soon. Take care!

Wow! Was that fun!
Some of my stamping neighbors and I went to the home of another Stampin' Up! demonstrator on Tuesday night for a card making class. We made 3 Christmas cards and a Christmas tag. It was so much fun to be able to sit back, relax and work on a project idea of someone else's. Regina had our kits all organized and ready to go. She had a very nice display set up, too, of some cards and 3D items that she has made recently. It's fun to see what other demonstrators do with the stamp sets/colors that I have as well as things they make from sets that I don't own. So, anyway, here are the cards and the tag that we made:
It's hard to see, but it's "bling" on the card, not brads. |
L-o-v-e that Merry Christmas font! |
Snowman tag. Um,I could've centered the blue and the white scallop circles together a bit better! |

Happy Veteran's Day!
Thank you to all of our Veteran's who provide us with the freedoms we have here in the U.S. My thoughts have been with you all day!
I'd thought at an earlier date about having a class on 11/11/11 at 11:00 for a cost of $11.00, but it never came to be. Ah, well. I've got another 100 years to plan...
So, today I finished up a masculine birthday card that I had to get done for a friend's birthday this week. He is a friend of a friend and turning the big 6-0, so I wanted to make an especially nice one. He's a great guy and treats my friend like the queen she thinks she is. HI, Princess!! *wink*
It's hard to tell from the pic, but I used Early Espresso paper, Very Vanilla and Brushed Gold cardstock.
Here is the card above with 2 other cards as well as a decorated envelope:
Enjoy!

Happy Halloween!
I've been trying to get back to business with cardmaking-scrapbooking. No, I didn't take the entire summer off from my craft, just a little break since the July wedding.
I recently made a card that I will send to my cousin's two little girls for Halloween. I wondering what they are dressing up as this year? Guess we are all done with going trick-or-treating here at our house as Dan has outgrown it. Although now he'd be more into the "tricks" than the "treats." For several years he wanted to make a "haunted house" outside to scare kids. I told him not to jump out and scare ANY little ones!
The other pictures are of a little Halloween treat that I made using directions from the video on Holly's rubber redneck site http://rubberredneck.typepad.com/rubber-redneck/2011/10/mondays-3d-challenge-halloween-ghirardelli-holder.html (Arrgh! I've forgotten how to attach the link. Please do a copy and paste on the URL to see Holly's video.)
Yum! Maybe some of my co-workers would like some...for a price! Ha!!!
